| "I delight in uncovering the true essence and beauty of each treasure that enters my showroom," says Annly Chyn, founder and owner of Annly's Antique Showroom and Art Gallery. It brings Annly great joy to breathe new life into an old piece of furniture, or to take an antique and give it modern practicality. She uses her passion for artistry to reinvent ancient Chinese treasures without erasing their original beauty and value.
 Born in China, Annly graduated from Taiwan National Art Academy. Shortly thereafter, her family immigrated to the United States where she owned her business acumen. In 1986, she returned to mainland China for a brief visit and was deeply moved by the rich culture and immense traditions. She felt an instant connection to her homeland.
After 14 years in the US, Annly finally returned to China. Faced with an empty apartment to fill in Shanghai, she scoured the local junk markets for furniture. From the necessity of setting up a new home in a new city, Annly soon discovered her innate ability to create artistic furniture from discarded pieces of furniture. With the support of family and friends, Annly opened the first antique warehouse on Shanghai 's now famous WuZhong Road. Using her intuition and acute sense of aesthetics, Annly collected a multitude of antiques and artifacts from all over China. She did indeed breathe new life into these ancient pieces. Her collection was hailed as "sophisticated simple elegance" by clients from all over the world.
 In 2003, Annly's Antique warehouse moved to its present location off Zhongchun Road, nearby Hong Qiao airport. Thus, began a new evolution of Annly Chyn's vision and passion. To complement her antique showroom, she opened an extensive art gallery of original Chinese art. It was no longer the dusty warehouse of olden days, but a brightly-lit collection of showrooms displaying both antiques and original art. It was the perfect fusion of traditional and modern.
Today, Annly passionately oversees every detail in her business. She works with her craftsmen to develop their artistic talents, with her artists to promote their originality, and with her customers to ensure complete customer satisfaction. She takes great pride in ensuring a varied inventory of quality, high-end products for her customers.
